The ISO standard for the qualification of arc and gas welding procedures for steels and Nickel alloys has been revised.
The updated ISO 15614-1 was published in June and has been adopted by BSI as BS EN ISO 15614-1:2017. This new revision supersedes the previous standard (BS EN ISO 15614-1:2004+A2:2012) which has subsequently been withdrawn - but what does the new standard mean in practice?
An extensive and lengthy revision process has seen some major changes in the format and technical content, meaning that BS EN ISO 15614-1:2017 differs significantly from the previous version.
