Jawad Zubair is TWI’s Occupational Health and Safety Lecturer and Professional Trainer. He possesses extensive knowledge, expertise and experience, having previously worked for oil and gas companies and at a manufacturing facility.
A mechanical engineer by profession, Jawad hails from an engineering background and graduated in 2008. He started his career as a power plant maintenance engineer in an oil and gas refinery and later became a steel design structure engineer in a fertiliser company, where his passion for safety at the design stage began. After a successful installation project in a gas plant in the Middle East, he decided to pursue studying OHS to become a certified and qualified safety professional.
In 2012, Jawad successfully earned his NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, passing with a ‘distinction.’ In September 2013, he joined TWI Central Asia as an assistant tutor and continued to develop his professional competency in OHS.
Amongst other HSE qualifications and lead auditing certifications, he graduated and earned his NEBOSH International Diploma in 2016.
Jawad believes in continuous learning and that education, combined with sheer determination and hard work, are vital not only to improve one’s knowledge and competence but ultimately, to be able to share that knowledge with others.
Today, Jawad is one of TWI Middle East’s lead tutors delivering unparalleled and globally recognised health and safety and technical courses, promoting career progression to TWI’s learners.
