TWI Pakistan showed support for the next generation of industry experts by taking part in the 6th Annual University of Engineering and Technology Career Fair in Lahore.
Held at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in 2020, the annual job fair provided employment opportunities to aspiring students – although has been postponed since due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As a flagship on engineering research and education UET works to build collaborative channels between industry and students to deliver fresh ideas and place talented and qualified professionals within industry.
The one-day event was attended by deans, chairmen, faculty members, alumni, a large number of students and foreign visitors.
TWI Pakistan’s team, led by Regional Training Manager Ahmed Jahanzaib, discussed how TWI could help attendees realise their potential across all industries, while highlighting that that CSWIP qualification can open doors to rewarding and varied careers anywhere in the world.
With TWI’s dedication to deliver uncompromising integrity in the provision of trained and competent personnel, produce the next generation of experts for industry, and provide career progression opportunities to our clients, it was also pleasing to see a strong focus on diversity, equal opportunities and female empowerment, as more female engineers and technicians are taking an interest in welding, non-destructive testing, and painting.
Having already received an invite for this year’s event, TWI Pakistan is hopeful that we can again bring our expertise to support this important initiative.
