Following the successful completion of the Program Teknikal Kompetensi Belia Asnaf sponsored by Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan on 4th February 2022, TWI Malaysia is once again commencing a collaboration with MAIWP Labuan to offer welder training for 4-months to a new group of candidates.
On 31st March, TWI Malaysia representatives, Ms. Ainura, Mr. Ghazali, and Ms. Jasmeen visited MAIWP facilities in Labuan to discuss with Mr. Md Fadzli Manager of MAIWP Labuan Branch, and Mr. Mohd Syukur, MAIWP Labuan Islamic Affairs Officer about the rolling out of the second phase of this programme.
The programme which is called Zero to Hero is offered to all youths in Labuan who meet the eligibility criteria and entry requirements.

The program which is expected to start after May is fully sponsored by Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan and is available to 50 candidates who come from the Labuan city. Trainees will go through welder training up to 6G position in different methods of SMAW, GMAW & GTAW, CSWIP Visual Welding Inspection, appreciation of basic NDT, as well as the Oil and Gas Safety Passport (OGSP) by NIOSH and the CIDB Green Card training courses during 4 months. All candidates that complete the training with success in assessments will be provided guaranteed job placement.
This scholarship is offered to Asnaf, the B40 income group who are eligible to receive Zakat aid collected from the Muslim community, as well as the Tahfiz students to improve their standard of living through getting access to quality education.
