Safadi Foundation is TWI’s accredited welder training center located in Tripoli, Lebanon. In 2019, two trainers from Safadi attended the ‘Train the Trainer’ programme in TWI Malaysia and are now qualified to train local welders according to TWI’s syllabus in Lebanon.

After a disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, TWI continues to provide vocational skills for Lebanese youth through welding training in order to offer them new skills that can be utilized in the current job market and increase the employability of the Lebanese.
A total of 42 students attended the welding course where 12 students were trained for the 3G SMAW process and 30 students were trained for the 6G GTAW process for three months.
On 7 November 2022, TWI Welding Programme Manager; Mohd Marzuqi Mohd Dalim went to Safadi Foundation to conduct Welder Qualification Test (WQT) for the students. As a result, most of the students have passed the exam and become CSWIP Approved Welders. As such, they are qualified to work in a wide variety of positions that require welding as part of their job.
Through this collaboration, TWI and Safadi Foundation will be contributing to this mission by training and qualifying the next generation of welders and equipping them with the globally recognized CSWIP certification, which can open up the opportunity to work in international companies for the candidates.
